Kicking off our Globallin’ series interviewing rappers from around the world we have 2019 East Ugandan rapper of the year Hid 16th. With distinct regional hip hop traditions such as Luga flow and Luso flow, the Ugandan rap scene is particularly diverse and our conversation touches on a variety of topics relating to this experience, from the advantages of rapping in English from a Ugandan perspective to the novel challenges facing aspiring artists in Uganda.
